Job Description

We’re looking for a Retail Sales Merchandiser to join our field based team. Reporting directly to the MST Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to effectively represent the company and its brands in the Retail Multiple Accounts.

This is your opportunity to maximise the sales performance of our brands by effective merchandising and maintaining optimum store standards of house-keeping, line drawing compliance, system data integrity, delivering product knowledge programmes and communication to both internal and external customers. As part of this role you will be responsible for a field area of approximately 60 stores. Postcode area SN,OX,GL,BS,STH WALES

Write the next chapter of our history

As part of this role, you will be actively involved in gathering and communicating market/competitor intelligence and data to assist the sales and marketing teams. You will optimise brand sales opportunities within the Retail multiple accounts , Implement all ranges reviews and promotional activity on time and with relevant POS along with implanting and being part of project activity such as refit/ new/ conversion stores. You will be involved in building a strong brand awareness via instore training and demonstrations to promote sales.

  • Merchandise and maintain store fixtures
  • Merchandise Homebase Own Brand, maintain and deliver product training programmes as a service to Homebase.

We’re looking for a proven communicator

Our ideal candidate will be able to manage their own workload and prioritise effective use of their time, Foster a culture of customer focus and improvement in service levels and be able to show flexibility and effective response times. We are looking for someone who can develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key contacts within the accounts and ensure maximum productivity through efficient journey planning and time management.

A key aspect of this role will be to develop positive relationships within stores to facilitate brand representation and effectively communicate with line management and relevant HQ functions.

We are looking for someone who has a high level of product knowledge, is self-motivated and can work on their own initiative. Microsoft Office platforms and applications skills, including : Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential for this role.
