Job Description

In the role of Customer Service Specialist you will be based at our Sheffield site providing customer service and support to our internal and external customers, resolving problems, researching complex information and building customer relationships.

The position ideally requires someone with previous customer service experience and the ability to speak and write both French and English. In return we offer an attractive salary, hybrid working, ongoing learning and development and a career in a global company.


  • Places customers sales orders in a timely fashion
  • Receives and handles complex customer needs regarding the organization’s products and services,
  • Responds to a wide scope of inquiries and/or complaints liaising with the necessary departments where relevant.
  • Assists with reviewing and coordinating customer service activities pertaining to shipping, plant schedules, inventory levels, and sales activities by reviewing reports, orders, shipments, and other information as required or directed by management.
  • Develops and reviews correspondence and documentation as appropriate regarding interaction with customers and responds to questions and concerns.
  • Builds customer relationships and serves as a liaison between sales personnel and customers to clarify orders, provide technical guidance (where appropriate), and facilitate recurring or new orders.


  • Customer service experience resolving customer concerns and providing excellent customer service
  • Experience developing correspondence and communications
  • Experience applying department policies and procedures to different situations
  • ERP (SAGE and/or SAP and/or Oracle 11i and12, Analytics), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applications are desirable
  • Experience of producing export documentation and knowledge of the export process and incoterms
  • Language skills desirable – French as well as English
