Warehouse Operative – Inbound Goods

£21,000 – £23,000 per annum

Birmingham, West Midlands

Having worked in a warehouse environment and gained a FLT licence you are ready for a new move to a business that is going places. That business is AkzoNobel. Home to world class products, we have been awarded Top Employer status and are recognised globally for being first with ideas, driving innovation and producing innovative products. This allows us to build successful partnerships with customers and our Birmingham site is a key supplier of coatings for food, beer & beverage and aerosol cans. You can now join the team as we are looking for a warehouse professional to support our logistics function on site.

As a Warehouse Operative you will take responsibility for offloading of goods and materials in compliance with standard operating procedures. This will include checking documentation for accuracy and certificate of analysis as well as the material’s condition prior to acceptance. You will help manufacturing colleagues by ensuring materials are accurately picked, organised and labelled ready for the daily collections. You will return materials no longer required by production to stores too. Important will be the ability to safely handle and store high hazard chemicals. You will also manage data logging on our ERP (SAP) system and help create a positive, high performance, customer focused work culture.

You must have experience of working in a busy warehousing environment (Chemical preferred)

Who are AkzoNobel?

Customers around the world use our trusted brands and products. Some of them are household names, others are more specialist products, but everything we make is likely to play an essential role in your daily routine. We are experts in the proud craft of making paints and coatings, setting the standard in colour and protection since 1792. Our world class portfolio of brands – including Dulux, International, Sikkens and Interpon – is trusted by customers around the globe. Our products transform homes and interiors, make buildings better, keep transport moving, and the wheels of industry turning. We have four clear and simple values: Customer Focused, Deliver on Commitments, Passion for Excellence and Winning Together. These values provide the ‘how’ for successful strategy implementation.

If you want to be part of an organisation that is truly passionate about what they do and how they do it then we would love to hear from you.
