Farrow and Ball – Warehouse Operative (Goods In), WimborneWe are currently looking for a motivated team player to join our Goods In team in Wimborne as a Goods In Operative. We are offering this position on a full-time basis, working onsite in Wimborne.Farrow & Ball is a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself in creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients.The unique Farrow & Ball look transforms modern and traditional homes, large and small, inside and out. Established in Dorset in 1946, we have grown over the last 75 years and now proudly have 60 showrooms worldwide with a global network of stockists.The key to our success is the people behind the paint: from the team handcrafting each tin to showroom staff to support functions, our shared passion ensures customers have a positive, engaging experience at every stage of their journey with us.As a Goods In Operative, you will join a highly productive team of Operatives responsible for ensuring our products are organised and handled in a safe and timely manner. A forklift license is not required on application as training can be done on site, however a UK driving license is an essential requirement for the role.What we expect from you as a Goods In Operative:Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading and receipting of deliveries, ensuring goods match the delivery note and are delivered in good condition
  • Loading of outward-bound loads ensuring goods and paperwork are correct
  • Receipting and processing of returned goods
  • Supplying of raw material to work centres around site
  • Delivering of non-Manufacturing based items to the appropriate member of staff on site
  • Managing stock to ensure stock rotation and optimise space
  • Support stock taking activities
  • Work safely using all training and safe systems of work

Key Attributes:

  • Previous Warehouse/Production experience would be beneficial – however not essential
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Understanding of basic computer systems
  • Willing and able to complete manual handling duties
  • Able to work at fast pace and under pressure if required
  • Team player, hardworking and motivated to get the job done
  • UK driving license essential
  • Forklift license desirable (not essential as training can be provided on site)

These duties involve manual handling and use of mechanical equipment, bar code reading equipment, fork lift trucks and limited use of computer systems.This is an outline Job Description and employees are expected to undertake other duties as directed.Must be prepared to work as part of a team and assist or carry out other duties during periods of high workload, sickness, holidays and emergencies. This may involve factory work in the other operational areas including the paint and wallpaper factories.What you can expect from us:
