Farrow & Ball – Warehouse Operative, Wimborne

Permanent, Full Time – Monday to Friday Early Shift 05:00 – 13:30

No experience necessary – FULL training given on the job!

Due to considerable growth, we are expanding our production teams in Wimborne and are looking for hardworking, team players to join us on full time permanent contracts.

As a Warehouse Operative at Farrow & Ball, you will join a large, highly productive team of Operatives responsible for ensuring our products are organised, handled, and dispatched in a safe and timely manner. Your role will be fast paced and busy and you will receive full on-the-job training from day one.

Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Operative:

  • Packing paint tins and other marketing materials onto pallets
  • Operating bar code equipment to enable order checking
  • Applying product customising labels in a timely manner
  • Operating the wrapping machine to successfully wrap the pallets
  • Loading and unloading trailers/containers including using fork lift truck (once qualified)
  • Picking of smaller orders and packing into cartons for delivery
  • Carton and insert folding from flat packs
  • Packing /filling /labelling of marketing items
  • Moving pallets using hand pallet truck or fork lift truck (once trained)
  • Stock checking using paper forms or bar code reading equipment and updating computer records
  • General tidying of the warehouse (clean and tidy stock locations, workstations and aisles)
  • Recycling of waste materials and paint including use of bailing/shredding and crushing machinery
  • Batch No. checking and stock clearance
  • Stock replenishment – moving stock to optimise picking and space utilisation

Your Key Attributes:

  • Previous Warehouse/Production experience would be beneficial – however not essential
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Understanding of basic computer systems
  • Willing and able to complete manual handling duties
  • Able to work at fast pace and under pressure if required
  • Team player, hardworking and motivated to get the job done
