Job Description


Mission of the role:

To provide an effective service for Sherwin Williams Protective and Marine customers, to support and drive sales growth across all market segments, by delivering a best in class supply chain that exceeds the customers and stakeholder’s expectation.


Effective management of the Production planning and material planning tactical teams.

Management of the MRP system, maintaining optimal safety stock levels for service.

Delivery of the production plan and timely communication to the production team.

Management of the data within the ERP system ensure that the systems deliver the required output.

Inventory management through scheduling and expediting materials with suppliers/optimising working capital by controlling inventory and continued efforts to reduce obsolescence.

Responsibility for the security of uninterrupted supply of all materials.

Create visibility and continuous improvement through KPI reporting, OTIF, service exceptions, stock/order replenishment, backlog reporting, schedule adherence, IQR, rework reporting etc…

Maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers in order to ensure that supply chain targets are achieved.

Ensuring adherence to HS&E practices and timely action in relation to any incidents and reporting requirements.

Maintain supplier management and timely resolution of non-conformances.

Actively support product introduction and rationalisation phase in phase out.

Support replenishment of external warehouse/spokes.

Manage system and procedural changes ensuring all internal stakeholders are suitably trained as required and in line with the Supply Chain Strategy.

Drive continuous improvement with a “can do” attitude supporting current and future business needs with the voice of the customer at the forefront.

Qualifications/ Experience

Degree qualified

Supervisory skills working within a customer facing environment

Coaching and people development skills

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)


Knowledge of batch manufacturing is advantageous

Materials Management background MRP, ERP etc
