Due to recent growth, we have an opportunity available for an experienced Logistics professional to join our Operations Management team in Wimborne on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting into the Global Logistics Manager, as the Supply Chain Analyst, you will Support implementation of key activity to deliver the logistics business plan. Working collaboratively and cross functionally to ensure a full end to end solution is considered across all improvement work globally. You will play a key part in ensuring a best-in-class service through development of reporting and insight to inform and support tactical and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities of Supply Chain Analyst:

  • Supporting budget v actual analysis and rolling outlook work, identifying variance and potential root cause supported by data tables and visuals as appropriate
  • Providing analysis for cost opportunities to inform key choices
  • Identifying cost opportunities through cost analysis work that will support cost reduction without unnecessary compromise to service
  • Supporting budget preparation work and price negotiation through data preparation and carrier analysis
  • Cost control of the 3rd party European Warehouse, monitoring volumes, mix of business and ensuring service delivery to F&B Customers
  • Identify and highlight business trends to inform the future logistics plan, investment, and budget needs
  • Providing insight to inform trends, decisions and key business investment and activity
  • Ensuring Carrier reporting is reconciled and consistent with F&B internal measures of performance to ensure a single point of truth for OTIF and costs
  • Building a process to identify all key performance indicators for logistics cost and service and ensure this is communicated effectively to key stakeholders
  • Utilising KPIs to accelerate insights to support internal and external improvement proposals to the business
  • Attending meetings and project workshops as requested or support through provision of analysis
  • Reviewing any new legal or regulatory requirements as required. Identifying risks or changes
  • Working with peers to ensure no key man dependencies and share business knowledge
  • Supporting other areas with Logistics cost analysis e.g. Carrier Compensation to provide options to improve cost recovery
  • Interacting effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers as guided by the Global Logistics Manager
  • Identifying any specific logistics training needs that will enhance the Farrow & Ball logistics/service process

Your Key Skills/Attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain Analyst role is a must
  • Import and Export expertise
  • Experience of multi-site logistics management including third party warehousing and transport
  • Ability to present data in a meaningful way using a variety of methods that is easy to understand
  • Ability to lead and work in multi-functional and multi-cultural teams at all levels of the organisation to deliver successful solutions to a challenging and growing business
  • Comfortable in managing a fast-paced, high SKU business with demanding customers
