Hempel R&D is looking for a Subject Matter Expert on Hydrocarbon Passive Fire Protection coatings, who will be responsible for delivering fast and reliable customer-oriented technical support throughout our global Hempel organization.

The role will focus on supporting our sales and technical teams and leading development of technical knowledge on Hydrocarbon Intumescent. This involves working closely with our R&D team and Product Management on key product development projects.

What You Can Look Forward To In This Role

  • Provide the technical expertise needed to design the best solutions for our customers
  • Provide the technical expertise needed to achieve certification of Hydrocarbon PFP products
  • Lead development & sharing of technical knowledge across Hempel
  • Help enable rapid resolution of global claims and documentation of lessons learned

You must expect per year 14 – 21 days of travel in this role.

You are analytical and with high quality orientation, eager to find and implement solutions. Finally, you find it natural to work as part of a team and you have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

What does it take to become our new team member?

  • A University degree in technical studies
  • Minimum 5 years-experience with Hydrocarbon passive fire protection ideally with field experience
  • Specific knowledge of the intumescent industry, ideally Hydrocarbon and Cellulosic
  • Solid user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (advanced), Power Point
