This role sits within our Decorative Paints division specifying market leading products for the Dulux Decorating Center, many of which are household names you’ll be familiar with like Dulux and Cuprinol.
As a Specifier Development manager your daily work will utilise your skills to maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships to maximise the potential of our specification within our key focus areas including Social housing, Health, Education, Construction, New House Build, Retail and leisure
The ability to deliver outstanding customer service levels and deliver on commitments is essential to ensure the market continues to use our products above all others. One way you can support this is through developing close working relationships with your customers to understand their needs, goals and longer-term ambitions and demonstrate to them how partnering with you can support them to achieve these.
Along with creating brilliant customer working relationships you will also work closely with colleagues in our Dulux Decorator Centres sales team (DDC). In this role you will support delivering profitable growth by driving specification through our own brand DDC store network. Focussing on delivering effective customer management by executing jointly agreed sales plans you will positively influence specification and deliver against key sales KPIs. You will have a range of tools and incentives to support you as well as training and development opportunities to support your personal development.
To be successful it is important that you have a customer focused mindset, an outgoing, positive attitude and the ability to build strong customer relationships and manage key stakeholders. You may have a background in sales or account management but given our passion around the development of people, we will support, coach and enable you to grow your sales & negotiation skills, so any commercial experience is considered. You must have a full driving license, which is required for duties in the role.
