Job Description
The HP Wolf Security team are growing the R&D team in Cambridge, UK and as such we have several vacancies open across our development, QA and Cloud DevOps functions.
Our developers primarily code in C++, C or Python (Django), so experience in one of these languages is a must and we’re especially keen to hear from software developers with full stack, low-level and Windows internals experience.
For our QA team, we’re keen to receive applications from Developer in Test and Automation engineers, experienced in Python scripting.
We’re also looking for Developers who are wanting to move to a DevOps role or current DevOps Engineers with Cloud (AWS / Azure) experience to join our Cloud DevOps team.
We’re open minded with regards to experience level and you’ll be matched to a team which utilises your specialist skills – whether that’s QA, Cloud, DevOps, cross browser development, back-end, UI, threat intelligence or low-level development. Your specific responsibilities will depend on the team you join. We work on an endpoint software security product which is based on micro-virtualization. To see what our engineers are working on, check out our technical blogs: https://threatresearch.ext.hp.com/blog.
You’ll be joining a highly collaborative, agile engineering team and your efforts will make a real difference to end users – protecting them and their networks from cybercriminals. We offer competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefit package and career development opportunities. You’ll work flexible hours – either from our brand-new Cambridge office or on a home/office hybrid basis if preferred. We’d also welcome applications from candidates wishing to work on a fully remote basis in the UK and who can visit Cambridge as/when required.
Bromium was acquired by HP Inc on 19 September 2019.
Inspired by the isolation principles of traditional virtualization, our team has created a game-changing technology called micro-virtualization to protect end users against advanced malware. Every task the user performs, such as opening a document or clicking on a link, is isolated in its own micro-VM, with access to just the resources required for that task, and existing just for the life of the task. Protection is thus provided through isolation, without relying on detection, hence reliably defending the user from polymorphic and even zero-day malware.
