Probably a graduate in a science discipline, you have experience of working in a commercial environment and successfully managing a product portfolio. Awarded Top Employer status, we are a company that forms successful partnerships with customers and are now looking Senior Product Manager Fouling Control to provide global management and support for Fouling Control products, systems and services in Marine, Protective and Yacht sectors. This is a key global role in the product management team, in an important market segment for our Marine, Protective and Yacht BU in AkzoNobel.

As Senior Product Manager Fouling Control you will drive new product introductions and manage range complexity, monitor and act on product range performance challenges in line with segment targets as well as collaborate with colleagues to provide leadership in portfolio implementation. We will look to you to proactively manage the range to ensure full category profitability in line with business goals. You will be involved in product planning, prioritising and aligning functional activity, in addition to contributing to product and service solution development. You will attend industry events and represent the business in key technical committees to raise profile of our products and services too. You will also oversee reports, developing capability, skills and effectiveness of the wider team, globally. Important will be the ability to assist in the creation of key product messages and value propositions for the market. Within the team, this role reports to the Product management Director and you will look after direct report(s) and work closely with the wider product management team based in key locations globally.

Of graduate calibre, and ideally with a Chemistry degree, you will have experience of working in a commercial environment in a sales or marketing role, supported by work experience in a R&D environment. An understanding of the Supply Chain would be useful too. Comfortable executing product plans, you will be used to engaging key internal and external customers and effective at developing teams. Commercially astute and technically strong, you will possess excellent business analysis skills too. Results focussed, you will be an excellent communicator and the sort of person who enjoys a collaborative working style. Critically you will be able to develop in-depth product knowledge quickly.
