Farrow and Ball – Retail Activation Lead – Wimborne, Dorset

We are actively seeking a motivated individual who excels in a dynamic work setting to become part of our Marketing team in Wimborne, Dorset, taking on the role of Retail Activation Lead. This position offers a full-time commitment (37.5 hours per week) with a hybrid working arrangement. Our team generally gathers in the office once to twice a week, while the remaining days involve remote work. We are open to considering some flexibility in working hours.

In the position of Retail Activation Lead, you will be under the supervision of our Retail Marketing Manager and collaborate closely with the retail sales team in the UK and EU. Your primary responsibility will involve creating, supporting, and implementing brand strategies, marketing campaigns, and initiatives tailored to specific markets. As a dedicated marketing liaison, you will oversee marketing activation throughout the direct retail estate.

What we expect from you as a Retail Activation Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Localisation, translation, and communication of guidelines for retail campaigns
  • Conducting briefings and communication for retail activities
  • Communicating with project stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the Social/E-commerce team for external communication and amplification
  • Creating and maintaining event and activation guidelines and procedures, such as the event request process and local networking guidelines
  • Amplifying campaigns through showroom activation and tools
  • Identifying opportunities and executing showroom activities and local partnerships, including physical events, conferences, engagement with local institutions, collaboration with local publications, and utilisation of email, social media, and web platforms, all tailored to consumer profiles
  • Reviewing event requests in alignment with anticipated sales uplift
  • Activating and communicating new showroom openings, relocations, or refurbishments
  • Scoping, briefing, and fulfilling point-of-sale materials and collateral to activate initiatives, collaborating with the studio, brand, and creative teams

Key Attributes:

  • Extensive experience in the field of marketing
  • Highly preferred: Proficiency in second languages, particularly French or German.
  • Proven history of attaining business results via marketing avenues
  • Ability to stay aligned with the company’s overarching goals and objectives
  • Proficient in building effective relationships and collaborating across functions
  • Adept at managing stakeholders at various levels
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural work environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
