About the role

As an experienced Project Manager, you will lead multiple hardware-enabler projects – which will include product software – to deliver data- and customer-driven advanced services and automation, with a focus on outcome-based innovation. Your goal is to ensure projects deliver benefit and value to the business. You will mobilise and enable the project team, ensuring that the right people have visibility of the right information at the right time. In this role, you will gain insight and experience with a wide range of business functions and innovative specialisms.

This is a hybrid role working with a range of stakeholders, so you will be expected to be able to attend our Head Office in Bar Hill, Cambridge, at least once a week.

Your key activities will be to:

  • Collaborate with the Services & Automation Programme Manager and Product Managers to ensure business alignment, develop suitable project strategies, and build realistic delivery plans, including release targets, metrics, milestones, deliverables, and review points Ensure robust governance and effective management controls throughout the project lifecycle, including preparation of project status reports
  • Ensure effective management of stakeholders, budgets, resources, risks and dependencies, and benefits – including benchmarking and evidencing real-world value
  • Drive collaboration and transparency between software and hardware teams, supported by effective and proactive communications and engagement
  • Comply with the Domino governance process / Product Creation Process, whilst enabling flexibility and an agile mindset, ensuring the most efficient route to market
  • Proactively participate in and promote our continuous improvement and automation initiatives to optimise our ways of working
  • Champion Domino Project Management Office (PMO) best practice and promote a growth mindset, contributing to internal productivity improvements via ways of working and automation

 

About you

You have proven initiative and the ability to champion a programme or project from concept to implementation. Working collaboratively, your communication skills and experience of working in a cross functional team enables you to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders. Your flexibility and agility enable you to focus on performance by working with the team to find the most suitable solution to a challenge, ensuring that our work delivers value back to the organisation. You are confident selecting the most appropriate approach to ensure project delivery. Understanding or experience of engineering or electronic innovation projects may be advantageous. Knowledge of software or agile management styles may be beneficial, as your hardware-enabler projects will often include some software development.

The Project Manager will champion a growth mindset and be actively involved in evolution of our ways of working and development of improved programme management structures and processes. At Domino, we are working to standardise ways of working and maximise our productivity as a team by optimising our use of the Microsoft stack: not just M365, but also their Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
