Job Description

The BASF Agricultural Specialities Limited production site in Littlehampton, produces industry leading biological pest control products formulated from beneficial nematodes. These products are used by farmers and growers across the globe in agricultural, protected ornamental and home and garden markets.


Responsibilities

As Packing & Warehouse Technician, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare all orders for dispatch ensuring correct packaging and labelling for each product.
  • Keep the warehouse space/cold rooms well organised and operate forklift truck and pallet truck as required to ensure the correct stock rotation and ensure all stock movements between sites are recorded in SAP.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all goods in/goods out forms, while adhering to all SOPs related to warehouse processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of equipment and work areas as per the current hygiene protocol.
  • Assist with nematodes and liquid rhizobium packing when required.
  • This role will involve a certain amount of manual handling/heavy lifting.


Qualifications

  • A good standard of secondary education is required, including Maths and English at a minimum of grade 5 or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar, fast-paced production operations role is required and a good working knowledge of all nematode products and production/QC processes is desirable.
  • Must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably experience of a business management system.
  • Able to work accurately and quickly in a time-critical pressured environment.
  • A valid driving licence for the UK is preferred.
