A time served mechanical apprentice with experience gained in maintenance role in an industrial environment, you are looking to develop your career in a successful international business. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance covering repairs on various types of pumps, agitators, presses, valves and pipe work systems. You will also carry out inspection routines to identify and rectifying issues before they become a break down. You will support process and operation modifications too, helping with continuous improvement initiatives to minimise plant downtime and reduce associated maintenance costs. Important, will be the ability to work safely and within recognised codes and practices. The successful candidate will provide input into various areas of the process safety management (PSM) process including testing of pressure relief equipment, vent inspections and tank inspections.

You will be a time served mechanical apprentice with experience gained in maintenance role in a COMAH chemical or industrial facility. You will have worked in an ATEX environment and been involved in pump, valve and pipe work repairs. In addition to your technical knowledge you are a good communicator who is self-organised and focused on working in a safe and responsible manner. This role will require you to operate as part of the call out team, covering nights and weekends on a rota basis.
