Job Description:Maintenance Technician/Mechanic – CB1 – M Job DescriptionCore duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Maintain Building Systems

• Heating and Cooling Systems
• Water Supply and Plumbing
• Electricity (only basic repairs and installations not requiring a certified electrician)

Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and loading docks and repair when needed with asphalt, cold patching material, and/or concrete.Maintain chemical tank farm to ensure safety and quality control

• Inspect for leaks and repair to ensure integrity
• Maintain dryer system

Ensure outside grounds are kept neat, clean, and safe; free from debris and snow.Directs outside contractors engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of the building.Directs outside contractors engaged in ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.Inspects, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.Dismantles machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of employees.Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.Assembles, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, plumbing, machinery or equipment.Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.Maintains highest level of quality.Completes all deadline schedules.Maintain pond and its aeration system.Operate powered industrial truck(s)Maintain a maintenance program and schedule.Prepares hazardous waste for processing ir disposal.Participate in quarterly physical inventory takes.Available to work overtime, by coming in early or staying over, when needed.Our Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
