Your knowledge and expertise within Learning & Development (L&D) will be integral to helping us succeed with our growth strategy, aiming to double Hempel by 2025.We are building the strategic capabilities for the future!Joining our global Learning & Development Team, you will take on a dedicated role to support our Technical & Operations (T&O) function. This will involve partnering closely with senior stakeholders to support both short-term business priorities as well as forward-looking capability development. You’ll do this by ensuring we build the right strategic competencies in our organisation. You’ll get to create an impact on a global scale by supporting the business at an enterprise, functional, and team level.Do you enjoy taking concepts from idea to full global implementation?In close partnership with management teams, technical experts, HR business partners, and other internal colleagues, you will define the L&D roadmap for the T&O function. Using your expertise in consulting and stakeholder management, you will design, develop, and deliver a full suite of impactful learning programmes for the business. In this role, you will have full responsibility for developing, managing, measuring, and enhancing a broad portfolio of learning solutions designed to serve a global audience of Technology & Operations leaders and professionals.Some of the key responsibilities you can look forward to:

  • Conduct learning needs analysis and consulting to support strategic business goals
  • Leverage relationships with key stakeholders, internal subject matter experts along with external suppliers to co-create high-impact learning programmes, with a strong focus on process improvement, digitization, automation, and sustainability
  • Manage a portfolio of learning solutions (virtual, in-person, blended learning etc.) in partnership with key stakeholders to support the function’s capability roadmap
  • Drive scalability and learning in the flow of work by utilising digital and online platforms
  • Utilize data collection and analysis skills to gain insights into the impact of learning initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

What We Expect From YouYour experience in business partnership, adult learning, and driving organisational change will be critical in enabling you to perform this role with high impact.Ideally, you would bring an advanced degree (Master’s or other) within psychology, HRM, social sciences or similar, combined with extensive experience in training and upskilling professionals.Experience within a multinational manufacturing environment or a management consultancy would be an advantage. Also, some of your key strengths are your interpersonal and communicational skills whilst working comfortably in a diverse setting with English as corporate language.You will join a global and diverse team with customers all across the globe. Ideally, you will be based in one of our sites for 3 days a week, either in Darwen/Hull, UK, Gdansk/Buk, Poland or Barcelona, Spain and be willing to travel to our manufacturing sites globally a few times a year.
