Join a fast paced and exciting sales forceBe part of our fast paced, bold sales team and help to shape the future success of the Crown Paints brands.We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Distributor Division. Covering Midlands and Southern UK, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing key accounts. Providing a high level of account management to our resellers – using a strong strategy to gain market share and gain listing for new products and ranges. This is a truly collaborative role and will involve working with Merchant Sales Managers and Territory Sales Manager teams to ensure they implement plans to maximise these key accounts for Crown.Location and areas covered in this role; South, MidlandsWhat will I be doing?You’ll have full autonomy to develop and manage your sales strategy, to ultimately increase sustainable profitable sales growth within your allocated ledger. Your focus will also include:

  • Achieving and exceeding margin, ASP, value and volume sales targets
  • Working with the regions and other Sales/Marketing team members to deliver commercial objectives and targets
  • Producing accurate sales forecasting for the accounts
  • Establishing and maintaining managerial and operating procedures to ensure appropriate business controls, especially around sales initiatives, payment terms, rebates and complaint handling

Sounds interesting, what skills and experience will I need?Your previous key account management within a similar industry (construction, multi site business, B2B retail) will be helpful to your success in the role, however we are open to backgrounds and industries – sales is sales!Influencing and relationship building skills as well as being commercially aware will come naturally to you and as will being creative and able to pioneer new initiatives. Presenting at all levels to all target audiences is a big part of this role, so experience of using PowerPoint as well as other Microsoft packages plus CRM systems is important.Working in the field requires self-motivation, you’ll enjoy planning your own diary,, scheduling sales visits in advance being on the road – for this you’ll need a full UK driving license.
