HSE Advisor

Job Overview
  • Help line management understand safety processes by building their understanding of theoretical concepts, industry standards and best practices
  • Act as a coach for our Birmingham site by leveraging and extending its HSE knowledge through personal participation in AkzoNobel expert pools for delivery of the Safety Common Platform and HSE&S Faculty learning programmes
  • Guide the line in developing and implementing HSE&S policies, plans and practices
  • Act as a role model for compliance and our commitment to H&S
  • Of graduate calibre
  • Preferably background in science or engineering
  • Ideally a Health & Safety qualification
  • Possess strong strategic and conceptual skills gained in a manufacturing operation
  • Able to influence others, you'll be an expert at gaining agreement or acceptance of plans and moving others willingly towards a desired goal or course of action
  • An effective communicator, you will be used to driving continuous improvement in processes, policies and standards
  • Results orientated, you are good at solving problems and managing projects too
