Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join the HP team and have full exposure to one of the most exciting business innovations at HP Inc. You will be part of the Sustainable Packaging team.

The HP Sustainable Packaging strategy is to go against single-use plastic packaging, and it brings a novel fiber technology that replaces single use bottles and other containers at full functionality, comparable cost, plastic-free and compostable pack. This is a clear market disruption that will help save the planet from an ecological disaster.

This role will help Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG’s) brands move into a fiber pack project. Main objective of this person is to successfully drive new fiber pack projects, from the technical standpoint, from beginning to the end, ensuring brand’s full validation of the new product.

This Role Requires

  • Strong mechanical or materials engineering background
  • Proven customer facing skills
  • Experience in project management of the sale and adoption of new solutions in customer premises

This Includes (but Not Limited To)

This person will be accountable to define and execute the introduction and expansion of HP’s technology into selected key accounts (brands).

  • Qualification of the account potential and fit into the new technology
  • Pre-Sales Application/Product analysis
  • Formulation of unique Value Propositions for HP into the account
  • Define and agree project milestones and timelines
  • Work with HP’s back-end design and fabrication teams to deliver upon the agreed milestones
  • Work with Sales key account managers on the proposals for the brands
  • Expand offer by agreeing to new projects

Part of his/her day to day will be split between:

  • Customer interfaces
  • Working with the technical team to define the solutions
  • Putting together proposals and reviews
  • Track and report the account delivery progress

We are looking for a professional with a high degree of technical skills and customer empathy.

This person will act as a customer success manager working across different disciplines but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

  • HP Sustainable Packaging R&D team
  • HP Sustainable Packaging management

Specific Deliverables

  • Account deployment of HP Sustainable Packaging solutions (i.e. fiber bottles)
    • Project management
    • Qualification, prescription and delivery
  • Account expansion
    • Identification of new product opportunities
    • Agree with the Account on the roll out of new projects

Knowledge And Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
  • Proven experience in engineering roles including account deployment of technical solutions
  • Proven knowledge of the Packaging Industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Social skills – ability to deal with diverse inter-cultural individuals and teams
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, functional disciplines and external customers and partners
  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross-business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
