About the role

This is a 12 month maternity cover contract where you will join the Group Operational Leadership team. This role is pivotal in the long-term strategic and financial planning across our entire manufacturing operations, with a global territory of 25 subsidiaries and 10 factories. With a broad remit the Finance Business Partner will be responsible for financial practices and reporting, as well as leading development of improvement strategies and their justification. You will model business flows, provide analytical insight and perspective to deliver a class leading operating model, gaining buy in for global and regional alignment to shape our 3 – 5 year operational plans. In this role you will:

  • Contribute significantly to long term strategic analysis, and planning across the network to achieve fulfilment and performance culture.
  • Optimise our supply chain flows, encompassing transportation costs, duties, taxes, free trade and sustainability factors.
  • Form and lead a financial centre of excellence across Group Operations, establishing globally consistent standards, coaching in financial management and business case justification.
  • Preparation and analysis of annual budgets, business modelling, financial reporting.
  • Group wide leadership of improvement initiatives.

About you

Suitable candidates will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with experience in practice, consulting, or industry. As a proficient Accountant you’ll be skilled in creating business models and annual budget preparation. However, we’re looking for someone who wants to contribute beyond accounting responsibilities and drive business improvement. We anticipate the successful candidate to be behind significant change, therefore we’re looking for someone who is experienced in change programmes/ continuous improvement initiatives, with the ability to secure followership and add valuable insights and judgement beyond financial management. The right candidate will be intellectually curious, driven by the desire to deliver effective change and shape outcomes at scale.

Supported by the COO, the right individual is likely to be action orientated, accountable and self-motivated. This role will provide exposure to senior management across a global manufacturing business, offering great exposure for those looking to forge a senior commercially orientated role within a global business.
