About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Officer to join a fast paced and dynamic Estates team. As part of the estates team you will be involved in a variety of tasks such as statutory inspections, building upgrade projects and improvement activities.

The successful candidate will help the team to ensure that legal and legislative compliance is maintained within the business. You will be the first point of contact for internal queries and external contractors, this will include ensuring that the correct documentation has been provided and allocation of permits. You will support the Estates team with an ongoing program of capital projects, ensuring that they progress within the agreed timescales and budgetary targets.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong communication and organisation skills. This role involves a variety of tasks so attention to detail and the ability to prioritise is essential. You will have previous administrative experience.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes;

  • Have good IT skills, including Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Requires an organised approach and the ability to plan and prioritise whilst working under pressure
  • An excellent team player with a positive approach, but also has the ability to work individually
  • Strong communicator, including written and telephone communication, able to build effective relationships within the business and with external suppliers
  • Previous experience of contractor management & PTW systems desired, but not essential
  • Experience of assisting with Capex projects desired, but not essential

Background Checks

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references – these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
