About the role
The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering delivery strategy for the Liverpool fluids plant and provide effective leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Engineering department, meeting company KPIs, objectives and targets. Under the leadership of the role holder, the Engineering team will provide optimised maintenance solutions and deliver capital and OPEX projects to sustain efficient, reliable and compliant assets. Seeking out and sharing engineering and maintenance best practice between the global fluids manufacturing sites.
About you
- You will be SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) and customer focussed and have previous experience within a fast-paced food or chemical environment
- You will have strong leadership and coaching skills and be experienced in coaching, training and developing a Engineering Team within a similar environment
- You will be organised with good attention to detail and a can-do attitude
- Visible desire to deliver exceptional results
- Communication and influencing skills. You are a good listener and make sure people feel heard. You know when to teach, coach or partner.
In the first 6, 12, 18 months you will deliver capital expenditure improvement projects for the financial year, ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the process and deliver the engineering aspect of the Digital Printing Expansion budget and take ownership and prepare an action plan for the Engineering Strategy Road Map.

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references – these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
