A Mechanical Engineer with experience of working in a chemical manufacturing or chemical process environment, you are ready to develop your career in a business that offers roles with breadth, depth of scope and impact. We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to act as the Responsible Mechanical Engineer for the on-time delivery and continuous improvement of engineering and maintenance activities at our Felling production site.
As Engineering Manager, you will head the team executing planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance. You will ensure plant equipment is safe to operate and available for production requirements as well as contribute to the project design phase and delivery of strategic engineering projects. Important will be the ability to prioritise work as well as deliver a safe operating environment while making sure work is carried out in accordance with legislative requirements, HSE, quality and company procedures. You will implement maintenance strategies that will support safety and reliability improvements, cost reductions and ensure compliance. You will also develop direct reports through coaching and a structured development and training programmes. Critical to this role will be the vision to identify opportunities and deliver continuous improvement of our engineering safety systems.
As an experienced Mechanical Engineer, you must have worked in similar manufacturing environment, ideally in an upper tier COMAH site. Qualified with an HNC in Mechanical Engineering, you will have a proven track record in project management and the ability to encourage a project team and manage engineers effectively. Comfortable overseeing multiple projects and prioritising requirements, you will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
BEng in Mechanical Engineering with experience of AUTOCAD and NEBOSH certification would be an advantage.
