We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.We are currently looking for a EMEA Region EHS&S Leader to join us at our facilities in Europe.The Regional EHS&S Leader will champion the Axalta EMEA Region Environmental, Health, Safety and Security program and is accountable for the EMEA Region EHS&S strategy development and performance.

  • Lead site EHS&S resources in the EMEA region and oversee their continuing professional development.
  • Exert strong leadership and influence to drive EHS&S performance in the region.
  • Maintain and monitor EHS&S performance metrics and develop strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively engage global EHS competency leaders and subject matter experts for needed regional support and communication alignment with the sites.
  • Establish key performance indicators to advance the regional EHS&S performance.
  • Develop and execute regional EHS&S communication plans.
  • Organize/develop/lead regional EHS&S training and training programs.
  • Build strong relationships with regional site management, as well as global and site EHS&S managers to support regional EHS&S performance.
  • Support site development and implementation of EHS&S standards.
  • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd party EHS&S and RC14001 auditing support for the region.
  • Support site and regional level action planning and closure of audit findings.
  • Participate in due diligence activities and coordinate, support and monitor EHS&S support for the integration process of new sites/acquisitions.
  • Monitor changes to the regulation and industry EHS&S standards and provide necessary support to site resources.
  • Support sites to implement programs to identify, manage and control hazards and determine appropriate communications process to control EHS&S risks.
  • Facilitate effective Root Cause Analysis and support in the region

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, environment, health, safety, or other science discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security field.
  • Regional knowledge of EHS&S regulatory requirements.
  • Manufacturing Engineering, Process Safety Management (SEVESO), and Operations experience strongly desired.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement given instructions.
  • Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Must be willing to travel 25-50% regionally.
