We are now looking for someone with a genuine interest in chemistry to join us as a Development Chemist and work on R&D projects in our Industrial Coatings business in Birmingham.

As Development Chemist you will enjoy a hands role managing the end-to-end process for a range of long term product development projects. This involve designing and executing laboratory experiments as well as interpreting results in order to provide technical solutions to innovation projects. This will include developing new methodologies and creating new tests to relate to actual conditions experienced by our customers. You will also make site visits to customers to support the introduction of new products. Critical will be the ability to ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with the company’s quality and health, safety & environmental systems.

Of graduate calibre, you will have worked as a laboratory technician and gained good health and safety awareness. This will have also given you experience in formulation and / or application of industrial coatings. Good at meeting deadlines, you will possess strong MS Office and communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a team.
