Trafford Park and home-based hybrid arrangement

Purpose of the Job:
This role is responsible for supporting the Sales Team, as required by the business. The role will serve as a ‘gatekeeper’ to any changes in Commercial Terms, from new business to existing renewals and amendments of ongoing agreements. The full financial implications of such changes will be modelled before any approval is given.
A Commercial Business Partner will draft relevant standard terms of conditions whilst supporting the Sales Reps through to successful closure.
This role will provide necessary control, support, and analysis through monthly Scorecards, Sales Support Packs and Customer reports, to drive sound Commercial decisions and ultimately maximise our Operating Income and reduce risk.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reports on key issues, key statistics and potential improvements on a regular and ad hoc basis as required. Strong data interrogation/integrity and analysis skills
Advises Others: The provision of detailed professional / expert / technical advice to others in order to resolve issues, influence decisions, make aware of risk or to guide them in their tasks. Strong and personable communicator across multiple stakeholder levels
Margin Improvement: Identify and suggest ways of making improvements to margin at defined accounts. Implement agreed methods and track improvements. Keen interest in our customers’ business and appreciation of Sun products and services suitable to each customer
Follow Procedures: Follow all appropriate procedures effectively and perform all appropriate tasks within set time scales and to set standards. Organised and self-motived
Systems and Process Review: Review and improve existing systems and processes in order to improve effectiveness. Identify and introduce new systems and processes that improve the area or business as appropriate. Effective problem solver with ability to identify process inefficiencies
Qualifications / Experience Critical for the job Holder
Appropriate commercial / finance experience
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including management
Possess strong ability with numbers and a logical approach to identifying data trends
Good MS Excel skills for data interrogation, analysis, and reporting
