Colour Design Coordinator – Introduction

With well-developed colour matching skills in automotive finishes and extensive experience in automotive paint colour design/development you are looking for your next career move. Look no further than this Colour Design Coordinator role with a world expert in making coatings. We are now recruiting a Colour Design Coordinator to collaborate with OEM/customer design teams and work on colour direction and design intent for new colour design projects

Colour Design Coordinator – The Role

  • Take design brief & create/design colour options for presentation to the customer/s
  • Match customer colour requests
  • Produce master/reference panels of approved colours
  • Mix paint for trials
  • Provide technical advice on all aspects of colour feasibility
  • Maintain local panel library, colour database & development status report up to date
  • Ensure compliance with AkzoNobel Code of Conduct & HSE policies

Colour Design Coordinator – About You

  • Extensive experience in automotive paint colour design/development
  • Excellent colour matching skills in automotive finishes
  • Expert spraying skills
  • Able to mix paint for both laboratory and commercial use
  • Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Customer focused
  • Good at sharing knowledge & skills
  • Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
