Purpose Of Role
We are seeking a skilled Treasury Operations Supervisor to oversee our Treasury Operations including execution of payments, bank reconciliations, FX hedging, cash flow forecast, trade finance, bank documentation and project work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treasury operations, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Main Accountabilities
- Supervise the day to day operations of assigned staff members within ESSC Treasury Operations Team: bank reconciliations (cash allocation, payments, GL entries) ensuring these are delivered timely and accurately; release of trade finance instruments DC (CAD,CAA) and DC LC from the CS&L or external teams; collect supplier guarantees, escalating any issues; timely and accurate processing of payments within online banking platforms including AP runs, payroll or one-off payments coordination of daily treasury queries for the ESCC
- Assist with all internal and external audit requests;
- Prepare reporting for the balance sheet FX exposure and placing proposals;
- Supervise activities for the members of the operation team to ensure timetable and KPI targets are met;
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and internal controls;
- Assist in Cash-flow forecasting and consolidation of European entities, assisting the Treasury Manager to identify main variances;
- Bank administration and regulatory reporting when required;
- Assist the Treasury Manager in projects assigned to the Treasury function;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Previous relevant experience in working within a cross border treasury team in the core areas
- Fluent business English, a second European language would be desirable
- Good attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving
- Able to prioritise workload and under pressure
- Able to take responsibility for team and own work and help the team where needed to achieve targets
- People management experience preferred
- Able to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Ambitious individual, eager to learn and develop
- Operational Import and export trade finance experience including CAD, CAA, documentary LC (desirable)
- Experience of SAP desirable
Location and Travel requirements:
This role is part of the European Shared Service Centre team in Harlow (UK), as part of our hybrid working there is a minimum requirement of 3 days per week in the Essex office. Additional travel is expected to be minimal and limited to traveling to other Synthomer locations as required.
