Farrow & Ball – Showroom Manager, St Albans Showroom

Our Showroom Managers lead by example, set the tone for the store, and provide feedback to the team that will result in increased efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Consistently making decisions that enhance our customer’s experience.

Key Responsibilities/Attributes Of Showroom Manager

Commercial/Strategic Ability

  • Accountability for showroom performance and standards in all areas of measure
  • Consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets including both top and bottom-line results
  • Analysing performance metrics on an ongoing basis, leveraging this information to maximize revenue for the showroom, determining commercial focus and performance plans within the team through KPI analysis
  • Ongoing development of the showrooms customer database achieved through driving data capture from the team with both new and existing customers
  • Recognising and proposing local activation opportunities, developing external relationships to ensure maximal exposure, increasing traffic and boosting sales whilst building and maintaining customer loyalty

Leadership

  • Leading with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivating the showroom team to create brand loyalty through a positive store environment
  • Coaching and mentoring the team to improve performance, developing future leaders through overall training and development programmes, reviewing their performances (coaching, one to one) working collaboratively with them to achieve personal and business objectives
  • Resolving customer issue trends by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and coaching staff on managing similar challenges in the future
  • Taking responsibility for the training of all team on standard operating procedures and H&S mitigation safe procedures of working; ensuring all team members have full understanding of processes and the potential impact on the business if not adhered to

Operationally astute

  • Monitoring inventory planning, maintaining accurate inventory metrics such as in-stocks, turnover, and flow
  • Analysing and reacting to the needs of the business, identifying top sellers, slow sellers, and the fulfilment of merchandising strategy
  • Maintaining loss prevention procedures that minimize unnecessary loss and increase security within receiving at store locations
  • Managing payroll budgets to ensure maximize productivity and enhance customer experience

What We Are Looking For From You

  • A proven track record in retail management ideally in a luxury environment
  • Demonstrable experience in driving and maintaining operational excellence in retail stores
  • Possess the leadership qualities required to motivate and develop a high performing team, sales and client focused delivering an exceptional customer service to all
  • Solid understanding of retail math and using analytics in a business environment, driving performance through internal KPI’s
  • Passion for the brand and product with background or interest in design/interiors/creative industry is desirable however not essential, full training will be given
