Job Overview
  • Build relationships with key customers, including architectural practices, construction develops and approved applicators to ensure AkzoNobel products are specified on key architectural projects
  • Sell the value of super durable materials which are higher cost but have corresponding benefits on the long term
  • Develop contact strategies
  • Deliver technical presentations
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Build a social media presence as well as represent the business at industry events
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of our product range in order to understand customer needs and provide technical guidance to strengthen our offer
  • Monitor and report effectiveness against targets
  • Deliver customer service levels that ensure the market continues to use AkzoNobel products above all others
  • Experienced sales professional with record of delivering consistent profitable sales growth within a fast-paced environment
  • Success based on developing client focused and commercially viable solutions to meet customers' needs
  • Experience in construction/architecture market and be good at fostering in-depth client relationships
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Excel at forecasting
  • Comfortable achieving targets
  • Resilient in negotiations
  • Full driving licence essential
