Farrow and Ball – Retail Property Manager, Wimborne (Hybrid)

We are currently looking for an individual with exceptional project management skills to join our Central Retail Operations team in Wimborne as a Retail Property Manager. We are offering this position on a full-time, hybrid basis.

As the Retail Property Manager, you will ensure the efficient management of the global retail property portfolio. The role is responsible for leading property projects (to include new showroom openings, installations, and refurbishment programmes) lease management and maintenance programmes. The role will be integral in ensuring existing showrooms are operating at optimum efficiency and profitability.

What we expect from you as a Retail Property Manager:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all property projects / installation or refurbishment programmes to ensure quality control through works management, timelines, snagging, budget control and stakeholder liaison.
  • Project manage the full property process for new showroom openings from identifying new sites and legals, through to successful opening to the agreed schedule and budget, including: evaluating potential new showroom sites in conjunction with the Heads of Sales, managing the New Showroom Opening Project Plan (and managing external project managers), drafting and collating capex proposals for Board approval and presenting to the Board, monitoring all costs and working closely with the Finance team to ensure transparency.
  • Plan and manage the global showroom maintenance programme covering scheduled and reactive works
  • Manage documentation around key property projects including lease renewal and rent reviews
  • Support the Head of department with the co-ordination and delivery of key business projects
  • Represent the commercial function where required
  • Budget and implement compliance works across all markets, to ensure a safe environment for our staff and customers.
  • Manage, develop and support the Retail Property Lead and Retail Property Co-ordinator with the day to day running of the office, including administration, budget delivery and order/invoice approvals, contracts management and supplier management.
  • Administration and control using Capex process and IFS ERP system

  • Excellent relationship builder with superior communication skills
  • Understanding and experience of retail operations and processes, health and safety training
  • Language skills (French and German) would be an advantage but not essential
