Purpose Of Job

To ensure that the company complies with Global Regulatory Chemical regulations regarding the distribution of safety data sheets and labels. Evaluate raw material and product details and keep records in the SAP EHS module.

This role is suitable for individuals at the beginning of their career; while prior experience is not mandatory, a relevant educational background is crucial.

Main Accountabilities

  • Technically review a raw material safety data sheet and verify the classification and labelling of a raw material.
  • Recognise inconsistencies in supplier information and resolve where possible.
  • Ensure that information in the raw material database is kept up to date.
  • Create and edit records where necessary.
  • Work with the site data managers to ensure that final product compositions are maintained correctly.
  • Maintain pure substance, raw material and product data in the S/4 Hana SAP system EHS module.
  • Create safety data sheets and labels

Training will be provided to the individual so that they are competent to perform the following accountabilities.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Degree in Chemistry or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with relevant experience will be considered (Regulatory or SHE role).

Experience: Knowledge of classification and labelling of substances and mixtures in accordance with the Globally Harmonised System is desirable but not obligatory as full training will be provided.

Previous experience with SAP EHS will be an advantage.

Location and Travel requirements

Position based at the Harlow, Essex site (this is a Hybrid role, 3 day per week minimum required on site) with limited travel to Synthomer locations as required.
