Quality Assurance is the cornerstone of Dacrylate Paints business model. This opportunity has arisen due to the progression of the previous job holder to a Research and Development role. This is a natural progression once the fundamentals of Quality Assurance have been mastered and the perfect starting point for anyone wishing to consider using a technical background for progression into other areas of the business such as R&D, Production, Marketing or Technical Sales.
About the Role:
To support and maintain the company’s commitment to quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001 through established quality management systems. These include production batch testing, governance of batch pass/referral status, recommendation of corrections and additions to meet the test specification and oversight of production processes, coordinating activities required to improve business performance and subsequent reporting/monitoring. The Quality Assurance Technician will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve anomaly trends, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold Dacrylate Paints commitment to delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Quality assurance testing of production batches to a defined set of test specifications
- Regular review of test methods and specifications to exceed internal and external expectations.
- Effective stewardship of the Quality Control department to aid productivity in the manufacturing of finished goods
- To identify anomaly trends in production batch performance
- To gain knowledge of Test Methods used and be able to observe, record and interpret the results.
- To gain knowledge of how to correct production batches on a basic level, adjusting into specification
- To document and analyse production batch data, monitoring efficiency levels and the ability to establish improved performance
- Regular reporting against defined KPI’s and company/departmental targets
- Suggest changes to KPI’s upon review of performance results
- To evaluate and sign off batch card integrity and production practises to ensure conformance
- To conduct regular spot audits of production practices included the method of manufacture and order of addition
- Detail authorised sign off on weights and measures checks during the filling stage
- To provide quality assurance/complaint investigation reports to other departments as required e.g. R&D, Production, Procurement and Finance
- Raw material testing upon delivery against COA’s
- Evaluation and filing of raw material COA’s
- Generation of finished product COA’s for external customers
- Maintenance of instrument calibration and records
- To attend R&D and Production team meetings to discuss batch card, QC specification and test method reviews

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Good manual dexterity
- Knowledge of risk assessments and general good laboratory practice
- Advanced Computer literacy using programs such as Excel
- Ability to work effectively in co-ordination with other departments
