Purpose Of The Job

Develop and implement technical improvements for the Lithene production processes in line with the sites’s manufacturing strategy and the overall company targets. Deliver OEE improvement by identification and remediation of technical / plant issues – primarily rate and quality losses. Plan and execute projects from conception to commissioning

Main Accountabilities

  • Support the Lithene Manufacturing Strategy actively in developing improved production processes on the Lithene plant
  • Develop a technical strategy for the Lithene production processes in cooperation with all other departments bridging the markets needs and technical possibilities
  • Support the Site Leadership Team in developing and delivering the Site Value Gap and identifying the Value Opportunity
  • Take a lead in the Root-Cause Problem solving activities of the of Lithene production processes
  • Provide technical competency training and assessments where required
  • Offer technical support to production when required
  • Champion and engage in lean process improvement tools incl. leading 5S, RCPS and PD-board meetings
  • Ensure full MoC, PTW and other SHE requirements for technical processes in various business environments. Ensure the Manex strategy is executed to achieve and maintain Gold standard.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent (Chem Eng/Eng preferred)
  • Experience within the chemical industry, in production or a process engineering function, ideally with COMAH responsibility
  • Excellent team player showing high adaptability, sharing optimism, and having a proactive mindset
  • Good personal communications and people skills, customer focused and self-motivated
  • Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and prioritise workload
  • The ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Demonstrate a bias for action towards making changes that solve problems and have a positive impact on the process, products, and people
