You are of graduate calibre with experience in chemical or mechanical construction project engineering. This Process Development Engineer role with AkzoNobel is the position you are looking for. As Process Development Engineer you will implement projects and involve site employees in delivering continuous improvement events. We will look to you to work with the site team to improve standards as well as identify areas of significant improvement and develop plans to realise those benefits. You will encourage a culture of ‘never being satisfied’ with current performance and share best practice knowledge across the site and the wider Company to underpin our status as a leader in world class manufacturing. You will also investigate the root cause of process failures and develop solutions as well as collaborate with colleagues to drive a lean continuous improvement programme. Important will be the ability to keep aware of new developments within and outside the business.
Ideally a graduate in a relevant technical discipline, you must have experience of chemical or mechanical construction project engineering. You will have an understanding of the codes and standards regulating the chemical process industry as well as knowledge of knowledge of HAZOP, Risk Assessment, Audit and HSE plans. Six Sigma certified, you will be a good project manager too. Experience in the batch chemical process industry is desirable for this role.
In additional to your technical talents, you will also possess good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
