CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- This is a Fixed Term Contract role with a 24 month duration**
Ensures safe, smooth and efficient operations. Focus on daily support of operations, operations troubleshooting, and operations optimization.
Coordinates activities with management and engineers to review projects, objectives, timelines, project tasks, and ensuring communications within the plant; projects are small in scope, handles daily problems, and may design smaller scale capital projects.
Roles And Responsibilities
Responsible Operations Liaison
Responsible for daily interaction with operators, supervisors, QA lab, R&D lab and management for production support
Ensuring a professional and healthy teamwork culture exists in the production team
Leads on-going improvements in operations, processes, equipment, and related areas
Develops and reviews a variety of reports and documents, and adjusts equipment or activities as needed.
Utilize understanding of unit and plant economic drivers to effectively drive daily optimization of processes.
Helps plan and organize the daily production activities and project implementation.
Become an expert on the production process and operating philosophy of the equipment.
Responsible batch ticket reviews, system and formula feed backs (SFFB) and plant alternate formulas maintenance where appropriate related to manufacturing.
Responsible for the new formula introduction process for general product transfers and similar technologies to the plant.

Manufacturing, liaising with Product Management / Technical.
Managing the M element of FMAP / Pi depending on which system is followed.
Participate in the development of New Products and their translation to manufacturing systems.
Participating in product development teams and maintaining strong interaction with Product Management, Technology, Business, Manufacturing and other functions.
Completes day to day production related problem batch, yield and defective investigations.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support to ensure plant operating objectives are achieved.
Leads and participates in FMEA’s for risk mitigation in the production process
Track production efficiencies, cycle times, OEE, OBE, asset utilization and helps with capacity planning.
Provide stewardship in day to day operations of documentation, PSM requirements, operating procedures, KPIs, process training, safe operating limits and HSE compliances.
Write area operating procedures as needed and ensure existing procedures are current, accurate and complete.
Lead or participate in Operator training efforts to provide plant training for production efficiency and operation
Facilitate process and product quality improvement initiatives, including use of Statistical Process Control techniques and process optimization studies.
Write Charters/Proposals/Scopes for Improvements related to production including quantifying improvements and costs.
Coordination with the engineering, planning, and designing teams to ensure superior productivity.
Leads or Participates in LSS/Continuous Improvement projects where appropriate
Leads small capital projects where appropriate
Serve as production area representative on capital projects.
Provides production-related process and engineering support for projects, including reviews, procedure development, training, scheduling, PSSR, and startup support.
Ensures quality engineering solutions are implemented per manufacturing needs.
Participate in Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
PSM Element owner for MOC/PSSR
Leadership role in plant safety programs, including, but not limited to safety teams, STOP participation and incident investigations.
Leads and participates in taproots and incident investigations
Patriciate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR’s), and management of change (MOC’s)
Mark-up P&ID’s and work with designers for P&ID updates to ensure accuracy.
High Level understanding of control systems capabilities infrastructure, trouble shooting, control loops and functionality.
Basic understanding of applicable codes, standards and RAGAGEP
Formal Education
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Engineering Degree or Extensive Relevant Knowledge/Experience
5 + year’s experience in a Hazardous manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of Management of relevant country Health and Safety legislation
Experience of Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
2+ years experience of RAMS and PTW issuing/approving.
NEBOSH would be advantageous/ Nebosh is a UK terminology not understood by any other country I would rather put PSM
Knowledge & Experience
Regulatory understanding, including, PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, SEVESO/COMAH.
Working knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR.
Experience with Project Management tools, ie Gantt.
Commissioning and Management of Change.
Competent in Microsoft Office Packages, word, Excel etc.
