About the role

In this role you will provide crucial support to the Bar Hill Estates & Health and Safety teams ensuring the highest levels of customer service. The role will involve extensive interaction with contractors including day to day management while they are on site.

Key deliverables include maintaining performance against departmental KPIs and ensuring compliance across a range of statutory inspection programs. This role is a key part of the estates team and will involve both working collaboratively with others and at times independently to maintain the high levels of service that we offer to our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for and individual, who wants to broaden their experience in Facilities Management as well as H&S while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities across a wide range of tasks.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to to be present on-site with occasional working from home arrangement.

About you

  • Proven experience of contractor management & SHE in the workplace, ideally including experience of a Permit to Work (PTW) process
  • Knowledge of working within a SHE Management System
  • Knowledge of DSEAR, COSHH and risk assessment would be an advantage
  • Experience of creating training material & e-learning modules for internal use would be desirable
  • Some project management experience of capex projects is not essential but would be highly advantageous.

Background Checks

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references – these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role. Further checks may be required if there are gaps in work/education history or if the 5 years includes extended periods outside the UK.
