About the role

This is a fixed term contract for approx. 18 months.

Reporting to the Head of European Finance, this role sits within the European Finance team, based in Bar Hill but working on a hybrid basis. This team is responsible for the finance support for four European subsidiaries in France, Spain, Germany and Benelux in addition to the UK business. In this role you will provide support to the Finance Managers across the team as we embark on our project to replace our current ERP system.

The European Management Accountant will assist with a variety of tasks including the preparation of monthly management accounts, detailed analysis of margins by product and customer and calculation of employee commissions. The role will also get involved in the ERP project as required with various tasks including data cleansing and system testing. Working in this role involves regular communication and liaison with colleagues both in the UK and in subsidiaries around Europe.

About you

You will be well organised and logical with a methodical approach and high level of attention to detail. You must have good analytical skills and be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, managing workload to meet deadlines. You will also need to have good written and verbal communication skills and work well as part of a team.

Skills/Knowledge:

Oracle (or similar) accounting package experience advantageous.

Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel

Experience and qualifications:

Qualified/Part-Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA

Demonstrable experience in industry or practice
