We are currently looking for an EMEA Lead ICS/OT Security Engineer to join our Manufacturing Strategy – Automation team. This role involves supporting and maintaining the security of our Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) across EMEA, in collaboration with multiple regions (NA/LATAM/APAC).

In this role, you will assist in designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring ICS/OT networks and systems (this includes working with Process Control Network (PCN), Process Data Historian (PDH), and manufacturing OT DMZ). You will troubleshoot problems, identify solutions, and perform routine administration at both infrastructure and application levels. Your responsibilities include ensuring the efficient performance and maintenance of OT systems at manufacturing sites, overseeing technical processes to optimize operations, and maintaining security to minimize cyber risks. You will also work closely with site operations and maintenance personnel to support these efforts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Maintenance:
  • Maintenance of system design documentation and asset inventories of the site ICS/OT environment (including the OT DMZ and Process Control Networks).
  • Maintain network architecture and dataflow diagrams.
  • Support virtual environments (hardware, Hypervisor, Virtual Machines, Host Hardware).
  • Assist with software installations and compliance, collaborating with the local IT team.
  • Coordinate backup and recovery processes.
  • Provide technical maintenance for network infrastructure and endpoints.
  • System Management:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Endpoint & Anti-Virus solutions, within the OT/ICS environments (DMZ, Process Control Network, etc.).
  • Assist with application patching and upgrades.
  • Maintenance and troubleshoot of network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Support site historian systems, laboratory information management systems, and analytics software.
  • Maintain interfaces between local (on-prem) and enterprise historians (cloud).
  • Project Management and Communication:
  • Participate in OT/ICS projects, collaborate with capital projects, researchers, and management, balancing tasks and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with end users, support teams, and management.

Key requirements:

  • 5+ years in IT and Operational Technology systems administration and maintenance
  • Ideally, 4-year degree in a STEM field. It is a must at least a High School diploma or similar level.
  • Experience with Industrial Control Systems in Manufacturing, and knowledge of ICS Operational Technology Components:
  • Examples of General network Training and/or Certification (CCENT/ NETWORK+/ etc)
  • Examples of ICS/OT Training and/or Certifications (ISA/ SANS/NIST/ etc)
  • Experience using and maintaining Process Data Historian (AspenTech IP21)
  • Experience with computer network structures and Industrial network design: ICS vendors Siemens/ Rockwell/ and ABB-Symphony.
  • Experience with industrial protocols: Profibus/ Modbus/ etc.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (25%)
