Job Description

Responsibilities

The Regional EHS&S Leader will champion the Axalta EMEA Region Environmental, Health, Safety and Security program and is accountable for the EMEA Region EHS&S strategy development and performance.

• Lead site EHS&S resources in the EMEA region and oversee their continuing professional development.
• Exert strong leadership and influence to drive EHS&S performance in the region.
• Maintain and monitor EHS&S performance metrics and develop strategic improvement opportunities.
• Proactively engage global EHS competency leaders and subject matter experts for needed regional support and communication alignment with the sites.
• Establish key performance indicators to advance the regional EHS&S performance.
• Develop and execute regional EHS&S communication plans.
• Organize/develop/lead regional EHS&S training and training programs.
• Build strong relationships with regional site management, as well as global and site EHS&S managers to support regional EHS&S performance.
• Support site development and implementation of EHS&S standards.
• Provide 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd party EHS&S and RC14001 auditing support for the region.
• Support site and regional level action planning and closure of audit findings.
• Participate in due diligence activities and coordinate, support and monitor EHS&S support for the integration process of new sites/acquisitions.
• Monitor changes to the regulation and industry EHS&S standards and provide necessary support to site resources.
• Support sites to implement programs to identify, manage and control hazards and determine appropriate communications process to control EHS&S risks.
• Facilitate effective Root Cause Analysis and support in the region.

Aufgaben

Der Regional EHS&S Leader setzt sich für das Umwelt-, Gesundheits-, Arbeitsschutz- und Sicherheitsprogramm der Axalta Region EMEA ein und ist für die Entwicklung und Leistung der EHS&S-Strategie der Region EMEA verantwortlich.

• Er leitet die EHS&S-Ressourcen der Standorte in der EMEA-Region und beaufsichtigt deren kontinuierliche berufliche Weiterentwicklung.
• Er übt eine starke Führungs- und Einflussfunktion aus, um die EHS&S-Leistung in der Region voranzutreiben.
• Pflege und Überwachung von EHS&S-Leistungskennzahlen und Entwicklung strategischer Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten.
• Proaktives Einbeziehen von globalen EHS-Kompetenzleitern und Fachexperten für die erforderliche regionale Unterstützung und die Abstimmung der Kommunikation mit den Standorten.
• Festlegung von wichtigen Leistungsindikatoren zur Verbesserung der regionalen EHS&S-Leistung.
• Entwicklung und Umsetzung regionaler EHS&S-Kommunikationspläne.
• Organisation/Entwicklung/Leitung von regionalen EHS&S-Schulungen und Schulungsprogrammen.
• Aufbau enger Beziehungen zum regionalen Standortmanagement sowie zu den globalen und standortbezogenen EHS&S-Managern zur Unterstützung der regionalen EHS&S-Leistung.
• Unterstützung der Standorte bei der Entwicklung und Umsetzung von EHS&S-Standards.
• Unterstützung bei der Durchführung von EHS&S- und RC14001-Audits (intern, extern) in der Region.
• Unterstützung der Aktionsplanung auf Standort- und Regionalebene und Abschluss von Auditfeststellungen.
• Teilnahme an Due-Diligence-Aktivitäten und Koordinierung, Unterstützung und Überwachung der EHS&S-Unterstützung für den Integrationsprozess neuer Standorte/Akquisitionen.
• Überwachung von Änderungen der Vorschriften und der EHS&S-Standards der Branche und Bereitstellung der erforderlichen Unterstützung für die Standortressourcen.
• Unterstützung der Standorte bei der Umsetzung von Programmen zur Identifizierung, Bewältigung und Kontrolle von Gefahren und Festlegung geeigneter Kommunikationsprozesse zur Kontrolle von EHS&S-Risiken.
• Erleichterung einer effektiven Ursachenanalyse und Unterstützung in der Region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and Security strongly desired.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security field.
• Regional knowledge of EHS&S regulatory requirements.
• Manufacturing Engineering, Process Safety Management, and Operations experience strongly desired.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and implement given instructions.
• Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters.
• Ability to collaborate effectively.
• Must be willing to travel 25-50% regionally.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor-Abschluss in Arbeitsschutz und -sicherheit erforderlich.
• Mindestens 10 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Umwelt-, Gesundheits- und Arbeitsschutz sowie Sicherheit.
• Regionale Kenntnisse der gesetzlichen EHS&S-Anforderungen.
• Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Fertigungstechnik, Prozesssicherheitsmanagement und Betrieb sind von Vorteil.
• Ausgeprägte Aufmerksamkeit für Details und Genauigkeit.
• Ausgezeichnete zwischenmenschliche und kommunikative Fähigkeiten.
• Fähigkeit, gegebene Anweisungen zu interpretieren und umzusetzen.
• Integrität, einschließlich der Fähigkeit, vertrauliche Angelegenheiten zu bearbeiten.

• Bereitschaft zu 25-50% regionaler Reisetätigkeit.
