BASF plc, BASF Group’s main operating company in the United Kingdom, supplies raw materials to most industries. We market a wide range of products, including chemicals, construction chemicals, agricultural solutions, dispersions and pigments, pest control solutions, plastics, polyurethanes systems, leading edge coating products, mining and water treatment chemicals. We manufacture performance chemicals, polyurethane systems and pest control solutions.
ResponsibilitiesAs Commercial Support Manager, you will be responsible for leading commercial projects and activities to support the sales team in implementation of the sales strategy.
- You will lead the development of annual commercial terms, including the sign off process with stakeholders to ensure consistency of approach.
- You will coordinate the seasonal review and implementation of pricing and segmentation to customers.
- You will be responsible for monitoring and analysing customer commercial performance including the design and roll out of the new BOARD tool.
- You will support the achievement of commercial KPIs by providing regular analysis and proactive recommendation.
- You will coordinate the Territory planning process to support the alignment of national targets with our approach in the field, to improve the demand creation activities/ measurement and insight sharing.
- You will lead the market approach for distribution and advisors in conjunction with the Marketing Team.
- You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Commercial Excellence strategy, sharing best practice within Agricultural Solutions Europe and BASF plc as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONSYou are educated ideally to degree level, preferably in an Agronomy related subject, or Business Management / Administration. A Marketing (CIM) or equivalent sales qualification would be advantageous.
- You have several years experience within sales, marketing and/or business excellence environment and can show evidence of resolving service-associated challenges, with the ability to create effective and innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite, in order to set direction, influence and persuade others across all levels within the organization.
- In addition, you are highly organised with excellent project management skills and analytical thinking ability.
- Finally, knowledge of agriculture, market, influencers and products would be advantageous.
- Homebased applications will be considered.
