We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team and revolutionise the way we manufacture our paints. You will work closely with our production team to identify areas of the manufacturing process that can be automated, and develop innovative solutions to streamline our processes and improve efficiency.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including robotics and machine learning, to develop solutions that will take our manufacturing process to the next level. With the freedom to think creatively and experiment with new ideas you’ll be supported by an established team who will help you bring your ideas to life.

  • Partner project teams to deliver ambitions for Industry 4.0 developments. This will be embracing of new technologies and methods to digitalise the site
  • Be a hands-on technical support for the Maintenance Manager and Project Engineering teams
  • Develop multi-functional relationships with key team members and provide professional advice and engineering support to the wider business including manufacturing, engineering, HSE, planning, finance & R&D departments
  • Support the team in the execution of engineering and capital projects ensuring all automations projects are delivered within the agreed timeframes and to budget

 

I’m hooked! What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

 

The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter with a passion for automation and a track record of delivering innovative solutions. You should have experience with automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial robots, as well as a strong background in programming and data analysis.

 

You will ideally have experience working in a manufacturing environment and already have a wealth of Engineering skills within controls/ PLC’s/ Automation/ HMI’s (Siemens and GE advantageous) along with experience with integrations with Networks of TCP/IP and management of servers, and O.E.E monitoring systems. Be educated to HNC/HND/Degree – Engineering Related Field in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and have a strong Electrical background. Some experience of Project Management and Budget Management is also beneficial.
