As Shipping Manager, you will provide expert leadership for the shipping function and ensure the highest level of service for customers of our Birmingham factory. This will involve a continuous improvement approach, monitoring team KPI compliance, ensuring we meet performance benchmarks and taking responsibility for Customs requirements. You will motivate and develop a team of shipping coordinators to optimise service delivery. You will also monitor dispatched shipments enroute to customers. Important will be the ability to manage appointed transport carriers to ensure performance meets minimum SLA targets. You will also ensure our knowledge and understanding of export and shipping regulations is kept current.

A proficient user of ERP systems, preferably SAP, you will be familiar Global shipping legislative updates and communications. Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders, you will have an eye for detail and possess strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be good at calculating costs too.

An Institute of Export Level 2: Certificate in International Trade and Logistics Operations would be highly desirable.
