£33,000 – £37,000 per annum depending on experience + £8,000 shift allowance

This Process Technician role with AkzoNobel is the position you are looking for. As Process Technician you will be responsible for the making sure manufacturing operations run smoothly. This will involve proactively monitoring machine performance trends to identify errors or anomalies and address them before they affect production. You will perform fault diagnosis and execute reactive maintenance when needed too. Importantly, you will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also optimise processes, identify and eliminate loss and waste as well as implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve availability and reliability of machines.

For this role, you must have undertaken formal training or an apprenticeship as well as ideally having worked in a manufacturing environment. Compex certified you will possess hazardous area/ATEX experience. Comfortable working as part of a team, you will possess good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. You will also be familiar with implementing and sustaining continuous improvement manufacturing principles. You will be used to operating SAP maintenance systems and ensuring HSE / quality compliance too.
