ResponsibilitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to operate a production plant and machinery across all production areas.In this busy and varied role you will work within a dedicated and experienced team to develop your knowledge of the chemical industry and production.You will need to demonstrate the commitment to ensure safe working systems and practices are followed and to ensure personal compliance with all critical operational procedures.You will be responsible for effective verbal and written communication between yourself and other members of the team to ensure precise and appropriate information is available as required.Operating a chemical plant under supervision and laboratory operations.You will be involved in manual handling of chemicals.Operating computer controlled chemical plant system.You will also work on projects to identify opportunities for improvement.Qualifications Working HoursYou will have 5 GCSE’s including Maths, English and a Science grade 4-9 or equivalent standard (predicted) or you will have 5 GCSE’s including Maths, English and a Science grade 4-9 or equivalent standard (actual).You will have an excellent attitude towards safe working, excellent IT skills, effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.You must have the logical ability to solve problems in a timely manner, and the ability to stay calm in difficult situations.You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work as part of a team.You must be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work, a desire to succeed and a willingness to learn and listen.You will also have a good timekeeping and attendance record, and must be able to carry out work in accordance with employer’s health & safety guidelines.You will also have the ability to pass a forklift truck driving test.The working hours are 37 per week.BenefitsResponsibility from day one in a challenging work environment and “on-the-job” training as part of a committed team.
