Here at Crown Paints, we have an opening for a Pricing and Stock Assistant to join the team in Darwen. An excellent opportunity to join a leading brand, steeped in heritage!As a key part of our Buying and Pricing team, you’ll provide first class support to our Crown Decorating Centre (CDC) network, being responsible for the network’s strategy when it comes to product, pricing, promotions, and stock.What will I be doing?Reporting directly to the Pricing & Stock Manager, you’ll assist the Buying team in maintaining, developing and implementing all activity for the Crown Decorating Centres. This includes article set-up, reporting on sales and stock, checking pricing and promotions, and being a central point of contact for CDC store colleagues and our third party suppliers.Sounds exciting – what else will I be doing?

  • Build and maintain items in the stock system (SAP/ RJ).
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to keep the systems up to date p– including marketing, production, supply-chain, pricing and finance
  • Partner with suppliers for information on third party products – for creation/ customer/ store queries
  • Maintenance of the supplier products on the B2B website
  • Supporting the Buying Teams promotional strategy by briefing the internal pricing team,presenting to stores, and signing off promotional material
  • Ability to run financial reports and add commentary to support the wider team, CDC Director and Regional Managers on sales or stock queries
  • Run weekly reporting of store stock figures and more detailed analysis of stock by sku and by store to help aid sell through
  • Monitor sales and stock opportunities on Special Order products
  • Cancellation of PO’s on the systems to ensure accuracy of orders and invoicing
  • Help the Buying Assistant on supplier sales incentive reporting for store colleagues

What will I need to be successful?Our ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and be confident in providing analytical insight to the business. You should also tick the boxes in the following:

  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a retail or pricing-related role is desirable but not essential
