Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who will fully own and lead projects from start to finish. This role requires
someone who takes full responsibility for delivering projects at pace while working closely with cross-functional teams and
customers. You will engage with customers to assess technical requirements, develop solutions, and oversee the installation
and commissioning of industrial machinery for paint manufacturing. This is a hands-on role that demands technical expertise,
strong project management, and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
Sales Support:
o Work with the sales team to identify customer needs and provide technical guidance throughout the sales
process, focusing on a consultative selling approach where work begins once a qualified lead is identified.
o Conduct onsite visits to assess customer requirements and develop tailored solutions for machinery integration.
o Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations and proposals outlining proposed solutions and equipment
specifications, actively contributing to customer calls and meetings.
o Support the sales team in driving deals forward and contribute to business growth, earning commissions
accordingly.
Customer Interaction:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with customer teams (Engineering, EHS, Production, Facilities) to ensure
smooth communication and understanding of technical requirements.
o Provide post-installation support to address any technical issues and ensure successful machinery operation.
Project Ownership and Leadership:
o Take full ownership of projects, managing every stage from specification through to installation and
commissioning, including both mechanical systems.
o Execute tasks promptly and effectively, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, EHS) and serve as the main point of contact to
keep projects on track.
Specification and Procurement:
o Specify and procure necessary parts and components required for project execution, ensuring alignment with
technical requirements and project timelines.
o Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality components while managing costs and lead times
effectively.
System Testing and Commissioning:
o Conduct thorough system testing to ensure that all machinery functions correctly and meets operational
requirements before final handover.
o Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring that equipment is installed properly, calibrated, and tested
according to specifications and customer standards.
o Provide training to customer personnel on system operation and maintenance during the commissioning phase.

Knowledge
Qualifications/Requirements:
o Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
o Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales or engineering, ideally within the paint
manufacturing or industrial machinery sectors. Proven track record in process design, fluid mechanics, and
project management with the demonstrated ability to deliver projects independently.
Technical Skills:
o Expertise in developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
o Familiarity with single and three-phase electrical systems.
o Knowledge of pressure and flow through pumps and pipework
o Familiarity with process control and instrumentation systems for industrial automation.
o Design and specifying parts for manufacture
o Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve them on customer sites.
Project Management:
o Demonstrated ability to fully own and lead projects, taking responsibility for all aspects from concept to
commissioning.
o Experience managing complex projects with an action-oriented mindset, including scheduling, cost
estimation, and risk management.
o Hands-on experience managing mechanical installations.
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience in the paint manufacturing or chemical process industries.

Basic Entry Requirements:
• Right to work in the UK
• Full UK manual driving license
• Valid Passport & able to obtain visas for international travel
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites for onsite visits, installations, and support
• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
