Job Overview

The Global Dayforce analyst role is responsible for supporting implementations and support of Dayforce solution for Sherwin-Willaims Company. This includes the support of all the interfaces. The incumbent will work with a team analyst around the world. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to participate on projects with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Participating in requirements definition workshops
  • Assisting with developing design documentation
  • Application of better practices within performance reporting and planning process areas
  • Developing/configuring the Dayforce solution, data migration, system testing and end-user training
  • Provide technical suggestions to ensure the solution is configured & leveraged to SW’s best advantage
  • Required to learn new technologies in order to keep up with the demands of supporting this solution
  • Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals
  • Interprets and transforms information based on business requirements and provides the data for delivery
  • Conducts detailed research of vendor products and assists with general project project management

Essential functions:


Strategy & Planning

  • Fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Develop and support interfaces, data loads and integrations
  • Assist internal customers with tuning and optimising their reports
  • Review and analyse existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices, standard processes and local variations due to customer, legal or business mandates
  • Provides alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality
  • Gain necessary input/approval of requirements and design, and participate in code reviews and perform code review for others occassionally
  • Understand the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and apply this knowledge to best solve problems
  • Develop functional specifications and works with technical resources to complete object development and testing

Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Employ knowledge of the Dayforce products in order to recommend and develop optimal time & attendance solutions for the internal customer
  • Develop, implement and maintain functionality and data flows
  • Operational management
  • Assist with training
  • Assist in optimising the solution
  • Design and develop new features in the tols
  • Design and develop interfaces
  • Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs functional testing
  • Create and maintain system documentation
  • Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues
  • Provide business reports to management and clients
  • Assist in requirement gathering and creates system and user documentation



  • Established working experience in IT
  • Experience in integration and interface
  • Some experience working in time & attendance or payroll functions or systems is highly preferred
  • Experience working with IT on implementing business solutions as a business functional and/or super user
  • Good understanding of Dayforce application is desired
  • Good understanding of monthly process and year end closing
  • Experience developing reports is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems
  • Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Substantial exposure to project-based work structures
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting is a benefit
  • Additional language skill are a benefit
