Job Overview

Senior Supply Planner for our Consumer Division – EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India) based at our offices in the UK. The role will report to the Strategic Supply Planning Manager – CBG.

 

Will be responsible for delivering demand profiles for all the supply partners both internal and external for the CBG business. Where a planning team already exists for SW assets, a collaborative plan should be developed however in the case of outsourced supply this role will be responsible for driving the production plan at a weekly level.

 

The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, by month, for a rolling 24 month period. A key partner with all product supply at the tactical level of execution.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Master Supply Plans for designated products
  • Utilise the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, inventories, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and new business opportunities
  • Analyse and identify risks associated with the options built into Master Supply Plan, including manufacturing lead times
  • Lead/facilitate raw material and packaging forecasts for the outsourced production times
  • Ensure inventory and supply is managed through our internal and external partners highlighting areas of concern relating to over/under supply and raw materials/packaging availability
  • Working with our customers data and inputs to ensure that our production models result in optimum service and inventory holding
  • Work with marketing partners to drive inventory impacts through portfolio management at the tactical execution level
  • Ensure coordination with plant schedulers to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Supply Plan, identify gaps and drive solutions, including timely reporting/tracking of key performance indicators and driving solutions to close gaps to targets
  • Support new production introduction through Stage Gate Process and portfolio review
  • Drive/lead continuous improvement projects across Consumer Division, applying lean principles to maximise efficiency and drive business profitability
  • Develops appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with supply chain management principles and practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; monitors compliance with these areas
  • Responds to questions and concerns from senior management regarding supply chain programs, root cause analysis, corrective actions
  • Support SLOB (Slow moving and Obsolete) inventory process for the consumer business including disposal of stock through 3rd parties
  • Work with key suppliers and procurement to ensure continued supply with high service
  • Support the tech transfer process both in determining appropriate tech transfers for commercial/supply issues and then supporting execution across the GSC facilities
  • Tactical execution of system transactions in support purchasing, manufacture and inventory movements of bought in products
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Several years’ of scheduling, planning, lean management experience, including master production role in process industries across multiple plants
  • Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity and efficiency measurements
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems
  • Applying broad supply chain management principles and practices
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment processes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
  • Implementing continuous improvement programs in the supply chain area
  • Analysing and reviewing complex supply chain reports
  • PC skills; microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); SAP/JDE/Oracle or other ERP applications, Access Database etc
  • Strong communicating skills
